Federal Labor Law Posters
The Department of Labor (DOL) requires all U.S. businesses to prominently display a number of mandatory federal labor law requirements, including federal minimum wage, Employee Polygraph Protection, OSHA, FMLA, USERRA, EEO, and more.
While these postings are mandatory, some requirements vary by statute. For example, certain small business may not be covered by the Family and Medical Leave Act, and therefore would not be subject to the Act’s posting requirements. Take time to familiarize yourself with the requirements that apply to your organization to ensure ongoing compliance.

When Do You Need a Federal Poster and Why?
The purpose of Federal Labor Law Posters is to inform employees of their rights and obligations as well as how they can respond to any violations of their labor rights. Employers with at least one employee or more are required to conspicuously post Federal Labor Law Posters in an area frequented by all employees. The FMLA, EEO, and EPPA posters are also required to be placed where they can be seen by applicants for employment. Failure to display the correct federal employment law notices can result in penalties, fines and lawsuits.
